ChempakaSense combines vibration, voltage, current and RPM in one intelligent platform to reduce downtime, support regulatory compliance and make condition-based maintenance accessible to factories of all sizes.
The vision of ChempakaSense is to position Malaysia as a regional reference for machine condition monitoring (CBM) and power quality (PQ) systems that combine AI, IoT and real field experience — at a cost that is within reach of small workshops and world-class factories alike.
The mission of ChempakaSense is to develop a modular system that is simple to install, simple to understand and simple to scale — so that every motor, pump, blower, chiller and critical machine can be monitored 24/7 with AI-driven vibration and electrical analytics.
Starting as a technician and progressing to engineer at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Ir. Hilmi has built a career spanning meter installations, LV and 11 kV operations, network planning, substation maintenance and risk & insurance policy work for assets. This exposure covers cable systems, switching operations, protection, GIS and fault restoration in the field.
Academically, he holds a Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) from UTM, and is now pursuing a Master’s degree (and later PhD) focusing on signal processing, vibration and AI for condition-based maintenance. All of these academic and industrial tracks are brought together under one banner: ChempakaSense.
What makes Ir. Hilmi unique is the combination of four worlds: power systems, electronics & PCB design, IoT & cloud, and artificial intelligence. He not only designs schematics and PCBs, but also writes ESP32 firmware, develops the Google Cloud pipeline, and builds dashboards and AI models that are used directly in industrial projects.
